Accessibility statement
UAB Wise Trading Group is committed to making wisetg.com accessible to everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as part of the quality of our service rather than as a one-off exercise, and we work to improve this website continuously.
This statement was prepared on 28 July 2026 and applies to the website wisetg.com, including all of its language versions (English, German, French, Spanish, Italian, Lithuanian and Polish).
Standard we apply
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA, which is the technical standard referenced by European accessibility legislation, including the harmonised European standard EN 301 549 and Directive (EU) 2019/882 (the European Accessibility Act), transposed in Lithuania by the Law on Accessibility Requirements for Products and Services No. XIV-1633.
wisetg.com is a business-to-business information website. It presents our product range and company information; it does not sell to consumers, display prices or process orders. We publish this statement and apply the WCAG 2.1 AA standard voluntarily, as a matter of good practice, and not because we have determined that we are legally required to do so.
Conformance status
wisetg.com is partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 level AA. “Partially conformant” means that some parts of the content do not fully conform to the standard. The known exceptions are listed below.
Non-accessible content
We are aware of the following limitations. We list them openly so that you know what to expect, and we are working to reduce this list.
Colour contrast of links within text
Links inside paragraphs of body text use our brand orange (#FF683B), which has a contrast ratio of approximately 2.9:1 against a white background and therefore does not meet the 4.5:1 minimum of success criterion 1.4.3 (Contrast, Minimum). These links are always underlined, so they can be identified without relying on colour, which satisfies success criterion 1.4.1 (Use of Colour). Buttons and calls to action were corrected in July 2026 and now meet the required contrast ratio. A wider review of the brand palette for body links is planned.
Navigation menus
The main and category navigation menus do not currently expose the aria-expanded, aria-haspopup and aria-current states to assistive technology, so screen-reader users are not told whether a submenu is open or which page is the current one (success criterion 4.1.2, Name, Role, Value). The menus can still be operated with a keyboard and all destinations remain reachable.
Heading structure on some pages
On a small number of pages, including the homepage and some blog articles, heading levels are skipped (for example a level‑2 heading followed directly by a level‑5 heading). This can make it harder to navigate by headings with a screen reader (success criterion 1.3.1, Info and Relationships). These are being corrected page by page as content is edited.
Cookie consent dialog
The cookie consent dialog is provided by a third-party plugin. In July 2026 we added an accessible name and role, a labelled close button, keyboard operation of its controls, dismissal with the Escape key, and movement of keyboard focus into and back out of the dialog. Keyboard focus is not yet fully cycled within the dialog while it is open, so it is possible to tab past its controls to the page behind. The dialog can always be closed with the keyboard and does not trap focus.
Third-party and embedded content
- Embedded video. Video embedded from YouTube may not have accurate captions or audio description (success criteria 1.2.2 and 1.2.3). We do not control the captions generated by that platform.
- Embedded maps. The location maps on our contact pages are supplied by Google. A text address and telephone number are provided alongside every map, so no information is available only through the map.
- Our B2B ordering platform. wisetg.online is a separate service and is not covered by this statement. It has its own accessibility position.
What we have already done
In July 2026 we completed a round of accessibility improvements to this website, including:
- visible keyboard focus indicators throughout the site (2.4.7);
- a “Skip to main content” link on every page, in all seven languages (2.4.1);
- underlining of links within body text so they are distinguishable without colour (1.4.1);
- corrected colour contrast on buttons and calls to action (1.4.3);
- correctly associated labels and
autocompleteattributes on contact forms (1.3.1, 1.3.5, 3.3.2); - larger touch targets in the footer navigation (2.5.8);
- accessible name, role, keyboard operation and Escape-to-close on the cookie consent dialog (4.1.2, 2.1.1).
How this statement was prepared
This statement was prepared on 28 July 2026 following a self-assessment of the website carried out in July 2026. The assessment combined:
- automated testing with the axe-core accessibility engine across ten representative page templates (homepage, category archive, product page, blog article, contact page and landing pages), in several language versions;
- manual keyboard-only navigation testing;
- manual colour-contrast measurement of text, links, buttons and interface components.
The assessment was performed by our own team. It has not been reviewed by an independent third party. This statement was last reviewed on 28 July 2026, and we review it at least once a year and whenever the website changes substantially.
